The Model 1902 Army Officer’s Saber was adopted in July of 1902 for all US Army Officer’s except Chaplain. It has a slightly curved, stainless steel blade and it is etched with the letters "U.S." surrounded with ornamental scroll work. It has a four branch steel guard and a steel back strap with nut on top. The grip is black plastic (used to be horn but the specifications were changed) and is molded for the fingers for a better hold. The steel scabbard is nickel plated with two rings for attaching to the belt chain. Available only in even size blade length 28 inches thru 34 inches.
